XPand Technologies, LLC announces first in series of educational tools
for students.
XPand Technologies, a Jacksonville, FL startup, is announcing the
introduction a new line of educational tools/test equipment designed to
allow students to perform studies in "real life" scenarios.
Ken Martin, XPand's Chief Creative Officer and President, is
quoted as saying, "Real world studies and experiments take longer than
30 minutes to conduct and observe. With the introduction of our
new line of affordable test equipment, I hope to provide students and
experimenters alike, the ability to accurately account for their
observations." XPand Technologies, LLC's first product to reach
this goal is a 4 channel temperature measurement and logging device.
The unit is a USB device that installs into any
Windows Based Computer (2000 and above). The software presents a
simple interface that allows the
user to set a period of measurement ie. once a minute, select
Fahrenheit or Celsius scales, and generates a standard text output file
that can be graphed using any office suite software. The standard
package includes the TempLogger unit and software and one temperature
probe. Other options include different temperature
probes and software that can be used for monitoring and alerting.
Future projects include devices for monitoring voltages
and other device switching.

package at
